The SCU Accounting Association (SCUAA) is proud to present the 2026 Accounting Professor of the Year Award to Professor Danny Wallace. Each year, this award is voted on by graduating seniors in the Accounting and A&IS programs, recognizing a professor who has made a lasting impact both inside and outside the classroom. For so many students, Professor Wallace has been more than just an accounting professor: he has been a mentor, advocate, and steady source of encouragement throughout their time at Santa Clara.

Professor Wallace is widely known for creating a classroom environment where students feel genuinely supported and valued. His kindness and positivity set the tone from day one. He celebrates student successes, offers thoughtful encouragement, and makes even the most challenging material feel approachable. Students consistently highlight how he fosters a space where they are not only comfortable asking questions, but also motivated to grow. Whether it’s through a well-timed compliment or one of his signature stories, he brings both warmth and energy into every class.

Beyond the classroom, Professor Wallace’s impact is even more profound.
