When and where to take items...
Bucky's Closet
Clean out your closet early and donate to Bucky's Closet!
Locations and Hours:
- Daly Science 317/318: Every Mon to Thur from 11 am to 3:30 pm, now through Week 10.
Plan ahead and DO NOT leave items outside Bucky's Closet when it is closed. Bucky's Closet will be CLOSED from Fri 6/5 to Tue 7/7.
The Cellar Market
Donate unopened shelf-stable, canned, and non-perishable food items and unopened toiletry items to Bronco Pantry!
Locations and Hours:
- Green barrels outside the Cellar Market: Tue 5/26 to Fri 6/12, anytime Benson is open
The Center for Sustainability partners with the Dean of Students Office to address food insecurity. Food that is not eligible for donation should be composted.
Move Out Marketplace
Drop, swap, or shop for reusable items at the Move Out Marketplace! Students and employees are highly encouraged to stop by and claim items!
Locations and Hours:
- Casa Italiana Commons: Mon 6/8 to Thu 6/11 from 8 am to 8 pm
- Graham Commons: Mon 6/8 to Thu 6/11 from 8 am to 8 pm
- McLaughlin-Walsh Lounge: Mon 6/8 to Thu 6/11 from 8 am to 8 pm
- University Villas Multipurpose Room (for Villas residents only): Mon 6/8 to Sun 6/14 from 8 am to 8 pm
Any leftover items will be given to incoming LEAD Scholars in the Fall or donated to a local nonprofit.
Landfill Dumpsters/E-Waste Zones
For items not eligible for reuse, recycling, or composting, dispose of them in the 40-yard dumpsters. Non-working electronics/appliances should be placed in designated e-waste zones beside the move-out dumpsters.

- Graham Hall on the street on The Alameda: Fri, 6/5 after 9 am through Fri, 6/12 before 9 am
- Cowell Parking Lot: Fri, 6/5 after 9 am through Fri, 6/12 before 7 am
- Finn Visitor Parking Lot: Fri, 6/5 after 9 am through Fri, 6/12 before 7 am
- Casa Italiana Lot: Fri, 6/5 after 9 am through Fri, 6/12 before 7 am
- Villas near Buildings #5, #9, and #11: Fri, 6/5 after 9 am through Mon, 6/15 before 9 am
